packing.

miggy had to teach me how to do it properly. he sat there and watched me, instructing me softly. lent a hand every now and then. cracked a joke often. bonded with me... and said goodbye.

dad came in, lay down on my bed. watched me too. argued over what i should and shouldnt bring. also that i should change my email address. but he was smiling. and it was more time spent together than all the days of the previous week combined.

fondue lunch! the air was filled with... happiness. the sense of a family. including the nosy dog.

tito ken visited bearing gifts. black victrinox swiss knife with a laser light. black cross pen. wow.

my angel dropped by. and again i drew from her the strength, courage and love that i needed.

back to packing.

reunion!!!
its kinda of a shame that we had to use my leaving town as an excuse to get together though.

cel was the first to arrive, also the first to leave 5 mins later. she didnt leave me empty handed though. even if she had, it was enough to see her.

incoming! joanne, therese, frankie, maecy. add a lunch, a treadmill, a cartoon, a golden retriever, and what do you get? nothing that makes sense.

more! sop, les, angela. plus a guitar, homework, stuffed toys, camera and pictures... you cant go wrong.

and! alex and mars. now there's a stereo, chips, needle and thread and voodoo dols. can you ask for anything more?

we then had... vanity, drama, and a palm pilot.

business was finally over and done with. at least for the week. time to kick back and rock hard.

lalaine refused to join us for lunch at max's. it became a simple date. (chicken burgers!)

we grilled lalaine a bit (a lot) before we settled down outside with her friends. she didnt deserve the receipts of our drinks, but we gave them to her anyway, coz we love her.

fetched daph and les, met up with raf, and made our way to... a studio. claimed a room for ourseleves. the band jammed, and the trios cheered. goofy grins everywhere.

but... sometime, somewhere in the dark space between my car and the studio... i kinda lost it. i had gone out to drink some meds. when i returned, i found they were gonna have a second round of jamming, this time with a another band (even transferred to a bigger room). while the music flared stronger, the little light in me was slowly being overrun. however, it was rekindled by the the fires of others. the little drops of saltwater eventually stopped.

in a haze of smoke and beer, the music went on. a night of escape. many thanks to those who went with me.
